The Umbrella Seller

An umbrella seller at the crossroads had a simple philosophy. Rain or shine, she set up her stall.

Her neighbor, a sun hat seller, scoffed. “Why sell umbrellas on sunny days? No one buys them.”

The umbrella seller replied: “On rainy days, I sell umbrellas. On sunny days, I sell parasols. My stall works regardless of the weather. Your stall only works when the sun shines.”

She didn’t need to predict the weather. She had found a strategy that was best no matter what the weather did.
